Punch springs – also known as die springs, die-cutting springs, or system springs – are available in various designs, primarily based on installation space and load classes.
The different colors are achieved through electrophoretic coating.
Light load – green
Medium load – blue
High load – red
Very high load – yellow
The sizes have consistent values regarding installation space and spring forces.
Punch springs must not be used beyond their maximum travel.
The greater the preload, the longer the spring's service life. A minimum preload of 5% of the unloaded length is recommended.
