Our Story

HENNLICH was founded as a small trading house in the town of Duchcov, in what was then Czechoslovakia. The location of the HENNLICH company's founding was no coincidence, as Duchcov was located in the center of the industrial area, and the company initially focused on wholesale trade for the mining, metallurgical, and steel industries.

After the Second World War, and more than 20 years after the company was founded – in 1945 – Hermann Hennlich was forced to leave what was then Czechoslovakia due to his German origins and the associated repression. He and his family settled in Schärding and re-established the company.

HENNLICH & ZEBISCH GmbH is founded as a specialist company for seals – with field sales representatives in Vienna, Linz and Graz.

In 1989, the company decided to expand its operations to include the production of specialized plastic turned parts. That year also saw the acceleration of socio-political changes in Eastern Europe, bringing entirely new economic prospects.

The fall of the Iron Curtain opened up new opportunities for further expansion. In 1991, the company HENNLICH-Industrietechnik was founded in the Czech Republic, with headquarters in Litoměřice and a branch office in Bratislava. This marked the beginning of the HENNLICH Group's expansion into Europe.

After the division of Czechoslovakia, the independent company HENNLICH Industrietechnik was founded in Slovakia in 1993, with headquarters in Bratislava.

In the same year, HENNLICH-Ipartechnika Kft. was founded in Hungary.

Founding of HENNLICH-Industrijska tehnika in Radovjica, Slovenia.

Launch of HENNLICH d.o.o. in Zabrze, Poland on October 1, 2001.

Start of seal production in Litomerice and Brno, Czech Republic, and Kecskemet, Hungary.

Founding of HENNLICH SP. z o.o. in Zagreb, Croatia.

Construction of new storage and production facilities for the ‘Highspeed Service Center’ (HSC) in Suben, near Schärding, Austria.

Founding of the companies HENNLICH-Industrietechnik in Bulgaria and Romania, with offices in Plovdiv and Arad.

Founding of the company HENNLICH-Industrietechnik in Serbia. Launch of Hennlich-Industrietechnik in Ukraine with an office in Dneprodzerzhinsk.

Expansion building for sealing technology in Suben near Schärding, Austria

Founding of HENNLICH Industrietechnik in Minsk/Belarus.

Founding of HENNLICH Russia in Tver (industrial city 200 km northeast of Moscow)

Founding of HENNLICH-Industrietechnik in France.

Sales development by HENNLICH-Macedonia in Albania, Macedonia, and Kosovo.

Opening of the first HENNLICH regional branch in Yekaterinburg (RU)

The sealing production moves to the third wing in Suben.

HENNLICH (Switzerland) GmbH is established in Cordast, Switzerland.

HENNLICH d.o.o. is founded in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina.

A significant step in Austria was the founding of HENNLICH Cooling Technologies GmbH.
The company specializes in the design and manufacture of oil/air coolers, engine coolers and complete cooling systems.
With state-of-the-art technology and an experienced team, HENNLICH Cooling-Technologies offers customized solutions for demanding cooling applications.

Founding of HENNLICH-HCT GmbH Germany, storage and cooling technology.

Expansion of the company buildings in Poland.
HENNLICH Romania is moving into the newly acquired company building.

We are celebrating the 30th anniversary of HENNLICH Czech Republic, 25 years of HENNLICH in Slovenia, 20 years of HENNLICH Poland, the 15th anniversary of HENNLICH Serbia, and the 10th anniversary of HENNLICH France.

The HENNLICH Group currently has 22 offices throughout Europe, employs over 800 people, and achieves combined sales of €90 million.

Opening of the Performance Center for Industrial Technology
A state-of-the-art warehouse, production, and administration building was constructed in St. Marienkirchen, just 4 kilometers from the second location in Suben. Built on a commercial site acquired in 2019, which previously housed a carpentry shop, the redevelopment of this derelict site helped protect the environment and conserve resources.

TF Feldmann GmbH is a specialized manufacturing company that produces high-quality leather and technical fabric bellows, heat protection covers, expansion joints, and technical leather products.
TF Feldmann GmbH has been a member of the HENNLICH Group since 2022 and is headquartered in Oberhausen, Germany.

Fresh look for the 100th Anniversary
Just in time for its 100th anniversary, HENNLICH introduced a new corporate design. This laid the foundation for a contemporary image – modern, clear, and future-oriented without forgetting its roots.

With the establishment of HENNLICH Kazakhstan, the HENNLICH Group is further expanding its international presence. With this latest expansion, the company is represented in 18 countries and employs over 850 people who work daily to develop innovative industrial technology solutions for customers worldwide. This expansion underscores the company's commitment to sustainable growth and long-term partnerships in various regions of Europe.
