Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Engineer with a strong background in sealing technology and a specific focus on hydraulic seal applications. You will lead technical application development, support product selection and qualification, provide field and customer engineering, and collaborate with R&D, sales, and manufacturing to deliver robust sealing solutions for hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead application engineering for hydraulic sealing solutions across mobile and industrial hydraulic equipment.
• Evaluate customer requirements and system specifications to recommend optimal seal types, materials, geometries, and sealing systems.
• Perform failure analysis, root-cause investigations, and corrective action proposals for seal performance issues (leakage, extrusion, wear, friction, compatibility).
• Create technical documentation: application notes, installation guides, specifications, and quotation support.
• Work closely with sales and business development to support technical proposals, RFQs, and customer presentations.
• Provide technical training to internal teams and customers on sealing technology, installation best practices, and troubleshooting.
• Interface with suppliers to drive product improvements and cost optimization.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and customer quality requirements.
• Manage multiple technical projects, timelines, and cross-functional stakeholder communication.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of direct experience in the seals industry with demonstrated exposure to hydraulic seal applications (mobile or industrial hydraulics).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Technology, or related engineering discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of sealing principles: material behavior (elastomers, thermoplastics, PTFE), fluid compatibility, friction/wear, extrusion resistance, and pressure/temperature limits.
• Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for seal geometry review and basic design iterations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to synthesize technical data into practical solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present technical content to customers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites in India

Desired Competencies:

• Experience with hydraulic cylinder sealing systems.
• Knowledge of sealing standards and industry norms (ISO, DIN, OEM specifications).
• Project management skills and experience coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Customer-focused mindset with proven track record in supporting OEMs or aftermarket clients.
